A 14-year-old developmentally disabled girl vanished in Snohomish, Washington, after setting off on a bike ride to a friend's house. A search was underway early Thursday for Elizabeth Harwood, Snohomish County Sheriff’s office said in a statement. She was last seen around noon local time (3 p.m. ET) on Wednesday. Family members looked for the teenager for three hours before contacting police. “So far, authorities have no leads as to where Harwood might be or where she went after leaving home,” the statement added. Harwood, who is described as having the "mental capacity of a younger child," was wearing a yellow, green and blue striped T-shirt with khaki pants. She was riding a white bike with peace sign stickers. Harwood is 5 foot, six inches tall and weights 215 pounds. She has shoulder-length brown, curly hair. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
