Gunman Fires on New Year's Eve Revelers in New Orleans, Injuring Five

Police were still investigating the shooting that left one in critical condition. Authorities were looking for a dark four-door vehicle.

Five people were injured when a gunman opened fire on New Year's Eve revelers at a party in New Orleans Thursday night, police said.

One of the victims, who were all male and ranged in age from 15 to 22, was in critical condition, New Orleans Police spokesman Frank Robertson said. The rest were in stable condition.

All of the victims were transported to local hospitals in private vehicles.

Police said the shots came from a dark four-door vehicle, which pulled up to the party around 9:00 p.m. local time (10:00 p.m. ET), Robertson said.

Police were still investigating the incident early Friday morning.
