When an Indiana teen told his great-grandmother he didn't have a date for prom, the 93-year-old woman joked that she'd go with him. Her joke soon turned into an official promposal.
After getting a special exemption to take a date over age 21 to prom, Drew Holm formally asked his great-grandmother to accompany him to his junior prom at at Crothersville Junior-Senior High School.
"I thought, 'If that kid wants me to go to the prom that bad, I'll go, the heck with it,'" Katie Keith told WAVE.
So Keith, who attended her own high school prom in 1940, put on her best dress and hit the dance floor. "Drew said to me, 'Let's dance, grandma. Will you dance?' I said, 'Sure.' So him and I got out there and shuffled right along with them," she said.
