America's marijuana map is getting a little bigger.

Voters in Maryland and Missouri voted to legalize recreational marijuana in the November 2022 midterm elections. The states are joining almost two dozen states across the county that have approved recreational use.

Voters in Arkansas, North Dakota and South Dakota rejected legalization measures.

Nationwide, 21 states, two territories and Washington, D.C., have legalized marijuana for recreational use, while 37 states and two more territories allow medical marijuana.
