A 62-year-old Ohio man died Sunday as he hiked out of the Grand Canyon after a commercial river trip, officials said in a statement. The National Park Service said attempts to resuscitate the man were not successful Sunday morning. Officials said bystanders began CPR on the man on the Bright Angel Trail before Park Service personnel responded and an agency helicopter diverted to the area to assist in the efforts. Officials said the man's name was not being released until his family is notified.
