A passenger jet headed to Chicago got stuck in some mud at a Missouri airport Saturday as it readied to depart, cancelling the flight.

American Eagle Flight 3624 went off the tarmac at Columbia Regional Airport, about 120 miles west of St. Louis, as it prepared to take off for its scheduled 4:13 p.m. flight to O’Hare International Airport, NBC station KOMU reported. American Eagle is a regional carrier for American Airlines.

American Airlines said in a statement that the 31 passengers and four crew members aboard the Bombardier CRJ 700 were taken off the plane, and the passengers would be put on other flights.
