A Quinnipiac University graduation ceremony was postponed Sunday after the school received a bomb threat, officials said.

University officials delayed the College of Arts and Sciences graduation ceremony, as Hamden, Conn., police responded to the incident.

“There was a security threat at Quinnipiac University's third commencement ceremony today on the Mount Carmel Campus,” read a statement from the university. “The commencement was moved to the TD Bank Sports Center, and is delayed until 7:30 p.m. ET.”
