A hospital spokeswoman says a man has died from injuries suffered during a weekend Portland house fire, bringing total deaths to six.

The spokeswoman for Massachusetts General Hospital says 29-year-old Steven Summers of Rockland died Tuesday afternoon. He was severely burned during the Saturday morning blaze.

The fire also killed Portland residents David Bragdon Jr., Ashley Thomas and Christopher Conlee, and Maelisha Jackson of Topsham. The medical examiner is still trying to confirm the identity of another victim and did not return a phone call Tuesday. Authorities say all of the victims were in their 20s.

Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the blaze, which gutted a two-apartment house near University of Southern Maine. Authorities say the fire started the morning after a Halloween party.
