Yale University says two undergraduate students were sexually assaulted at the same weekend party held at a fraternity house located outside of campus.
Spokesman William Hathaway said on Saturday that the alleged incident occurred on Feb. 8 and he did not know if anyone has been arrested.
Yale Police Chief Ronnell A. Higgins issued campus-wide alert Friday, saying his department received an anonymous report that day that an acquaintance assaulted a second student. Police reported the first assault earlier this week.
The alleged assailants are Yale students, according to Higgins. The alleged assaults occurred at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house on High Street in New Haven.
New Haven police they are not investigating because no victim has come forward.
Still, Yale says these reports are extremely troubling and it is taking the matters seriously and pursuing them actively.
Anyone who has been the victim of an assault or who has information about either incident is urged to contact Yale Police at 203-432-4400.
