Heavy rains on Thursday evening caused a massive mudslide on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, nearly impacting the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Fairview. Minneapolis firefighters said no one was injured and the hospital buildings are safe, but the slide, which occurred at about 7 p.m. local time, caused plenty of tense moments as the 100-yard swath of trees, brush and more tumbled down onto a road below and into the river.
