BEIRUT, Lebanon - An explosion rocked a southern suburb of Beirut close to the Kuwaiti Embassy and an Iranian cultural center early Wednesday, reportedly killing at least four people.
Two suicide bombers were involved, Lebanese security sources told NBC News.
Lebanese television footage showed fire trucks and soldiers standing in the streets, Reuters reported. A wounded man was carried away on a stretcher and a young girl was seen being evacuated by two men. Glass covered the road and nearby buildings were damaged.
Security sources told Reuters at least four people had been killed and 19 others wounded.
Pictures posted on social media showed a black cloud visible above rooftops where the explosion occured.
