Demonstrations against Philippines president turn violent, fiery

Demonstrators in the Philippines protested President Benigno Aquino III's state of the nation address on Monday. The protesters called for government attention on human rights, poverty, jobs, and several other issues, the European Pressphoto Agency reports, while Aquino's remarks largely focused on issues with China.  According to Reuters, Aquino addressed the territorial dispute with China in the South China Sea, and said he planned to beef up the nation's military.
