'Ed Show' playbook: Monday, Apr. 9

The nation's most senior elected Republican says the GOP war on women "a manufactured issue."  Well, somebody should tell Wisconsin state Sen. Glenn Gorthman, who says money is more important to men than it is to women.

U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Terry O’Neill, President of The National Organization for Women, will set the record straight.

The right-wing smear machine is trotting out an old favorite, Jeremiah Wright, to bash President Obama and divide the country by race.  Ed will ask Dr. James Peterson, Director of Africana Studies and Associate Professor of English at Lehigh University, if it's going to work.

A big new development in the Trayvon Martin case fuels speculation about a possible arrest.   Daryl Parks, an attorney for the Martin family, joins Ed for that.

Bush's brain (aka Karl Rove) joins up with Team Romney to destroy President Obama.  Howard Fineman, NBC News Political Analyst and Editorial Director of the Huffington Post Media Group, and Sam Stein, Huffington Post political editor, will talk about today's big news from the American Crossroads attack machine.

U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley calls President Obama "stupid" on Twitter and gets busted.

Ed will show us who would really win in a battle of wits.

And in the Big Finish, Congressman Darrell Issa's new oversight committee website may look like it's pro-worker, but it's very anti-union.  Ed will ask Larry Cohen, president of the Communications Workers of America, how they're responding.
