Staff Sgt. Doug Andrus told reporters late Thursday that police had new information but could not say more. “We've obtained … video and film from both neighbors' homes and businesses in the area,” he said, according to broadcaster CBC. “I would say it’s less of a mystery but I can’t comment on the degree,” he added, according to the Calgary Sun newspaper. The Liknes are not considered suspects in the case, the Calgary Police Department said Thursday.

Nathan O’Brien, 5, is described as Caucasian, approximately 3’ tall, with blond, curly hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing peach-coloured shorts and a striped blue hoodie.Calgary Police Dept.
