NATO Service Member Killed Near Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan

A NATO service member died following an enemy attack near Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan, the organization said Wednesday.

The identity and nationality of the service member killed in Tuesday's attack was not immediately known.

NATO's mission in Afghanistan is known as Resolute Support and provides training and assistance to Afghan security services. International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) - the allied combat mission in Afghanistan - concluded in December 2014 after thirteen years of war.
