Parenthetical brackets

Responding to Wednesday's final segment about Republicans ignoring the advice of RNC chair Reince Priebus* and taking cheap shots at President Obama for filling out a March Madness bracket, Tamera, below, offered some worthwhile advice:

Now, I don't mind admitting that I didn't know there were women's brackets happening at the same time as men's brackets because I also don't mind admitting I don't pay this slightest bit of attention to any brackets. This year is the first time I've ever printed out a bracket and it's only because I'm trying to give my (athletically enthusiastic) seven-year-old practice looking things up (in this case, game results). So for us it's a research and documentation exercise.

But now we're following two tournaments, and so can you.

*"[O]ur party has divorced itself from the American culture … [We] would make fun of the president for going on ‘The View’ -- and you've heard me say these things -- … you know, talking hoops for half an hour on ESPN.  That's where a lot of America is at, and I think we've got to get with it …" —RNC Chairman Reince Priebus
