More than a hundred tornadoes ripped through the Plains States this weekend. The temperature hit a record 87 degrees in Boston yesterday. And last month was the warmest March on record in the contiguous United States.  Yet, there’s barely any mention of climate change.  Rising gas prices and Republican calls for more drilling have pushed the conversation to oil and how to make it cheaper.

But after digging through our video archives, we found that it wasn’t always this way. Last June, Mitt Romney openly talked about climate change—not at a closed-door meeting, but at a public event in Manchester, New Hampshire.

What will it take for global warming to return to the national dialogue? Perhaps, public pressure. But based on a recent Gallup Poll, it’s unclear if there is enough of that.
