Syrians climbed through debris outside of a heavily damaged building in the Douma neighborhood of Damascus as others rushed to extinguish fires and rescue children on Monday. Activists claimed forces loyal to Syria's President Bashar al-Assad launched airstrikes that destroyed the site.

A report from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights released on Feb. 7 said over 210,000 people died in the last four years of civil war.
