The start of spring has ushered in a familiar blue hue to the sky. The gleaming pattern of the Blue Angels again flies high after the sequester left the popular aviation team grounded due to budget cuts.
If the sky is their canvas, then their planes serve as the brushes for the Navy’s most popular aerial demonstration squad. The Blue Angels team is made up of 16 officers, who voluntarily serve with the outfit.
“This represents the best of America — the best of the best,” one eager fan said.
