Bolshoi Ballet raises curtain on new season after acid attack

The Bolshoi Ballet has endured one of the most tumultuous years in its centuries-long history, racked by rivalries, jealousy and a horrible acid attack on its artistic director, Sergei Filin. Now, the curtain is up on a new season. Ballet star David Hallberg, who was the first American principal dancer to join the Bolshoi, has returned.
