Combination drugs that fuse multiple medications can have shocking price tag


Experts say combination drugs, which join two or more medications into a single prescription, can cost far more than what those medications would sell for individually. Manufacturers say just one pill is more convenient for patients and much of that expense is covered by insurance, but critics warn combination drugs are contributing to the rising cost of prescription medicines.
