Controversy after FDA approves powerful new opioid
Politicians and drug safety advocates have criticized the FDA’s approval of Dsuvia, an opioid painkiller that’s more potent than fentanyl, amid the ongoing opioid crisis. The agency says the drug has safety measures in place and use will be restricted to medically-supervised areas.
