First major drug distributor criminally charged in deadly opioid crisis

In the first case of its kind, federal prosecutors in New York today filed criminal drug trafficking charges against Rochester Drug Co-operative, one of the largest pharmaceutical distributors in the nation. Its former CEO, Laurence Doud III, was charged with conspiracy and led away in handcuffs, as he vowed to fight the charges.April 23, 2019
