Families and community leaders in Mississippi scrambled to deal with the consequences of raids by Immigration and Customs officers in which about 680 mostly Latino workers were arrested today. Officials swept through seven chicken processing plants yesterday, rounding up all undocumented immigrants who worked at the plants in what’s being called the biggest one-day immigration sweep ever in the U.S.Aug. 8, 2019
