Judge delays closing of Missouri’s only abortion clinic

The Missouri clinic’s license was about to expire, making the state the first to not have an abortion clinic since Roe V. Wade. A federal judge ordered that the license remain in effect, citing possible “immediate and irreparable injury...if the license is allowed to expire,” but the clinic’s ultimate fate will be decided next week, when the judge plans to take up the license issue.May 31, 2019
