Is there hope for Detroit Public Schools?


In Reviving Detroit Part 2.1, Detroit Public Schools rank the lowest in the country. Decades of corruption and mismanagement — coupled with overall economic decline in the region — has left the district with more than 195 closed campuses and students ranking dead last in the nation for math and reading. Despite decrepit school buildings and limited resources, district leadership and educators are hoping to create change.
