Team USA athletes beat the odds at Olympic trials


Simone Manuel became the first Black woman to win an individual gold medal in swimming at the 2016 Rio Olympics. After revealing she’s been dealing with exhaustion, depression and anxiety due to overtraining syndrome, Manuel delivered and qualified for Tokyo.
