After 10 years of consistent job growth, the U.S. lost more than 700,000 jobs in March. Unemployment had its biggest uptick since 1975, rising to 4.4 percent. However, the survey for the March jobs report was taken from the 8th to the 14th, before most statewide stay-at-home orders went into effect.April 3, 2020
