Writer and AIDS activist Larry Kramer dies at 84

Larry Kramer was sounding the alarm on the burgeoning HIV/AIDS crisis before the disease even had a name. The writer and activist co-founded the Gay Men’s Health Crisis, the first organization to advocate for the prevention and treatment of AIDS, and later started ACT UP to push for political action.
