Hidalgo County, a largely Latinx community along the U.S.-Mexico border, knows the pains of being undercounted in the U.S. census. Despite local efforts to make sure every person is counted, the coronavirus has made that job increasingly difficult, and community organizers fear 2020 numbers could be worse than ever. NBC News correspondent Alexa Liautaud went to south Texas to see the county's efforts before the pandemic, and learn what's at risk.
