NCAA announces inclusive policy, ‘unequivocally supports’ opportunities for transgender athletes

The NCAA said it “firmly and unequivocally supports the opportunity for transgender student-athletes to compete in college sports.” This comes as nearly 30 states are considering legislation that would ban transgender students from joining sports teams that align with their gender identities.
