Trial underway for two of the men charged in Elijah McClain’s death

The trial of two men charged in connection with Elijah McClain’s 2019 death is underway. Aurora Police Officer Randy Roedema and a former officer, Jason Rosenblatt, are facing charges of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide after McClain, a 23-year-old Black man, was placed in a chokehold and injected with a powerful sedative by paramedics. Both men have pleaded not guilty.
