Senate Passes Stopgap Spending Bill

The government will be funded for another three days as Congress puts the finishing touches on a $1.1 trillion spending bill.

The Senate passed the three-day stopgap funding measure Wednesday. The vote was 86 to 14.

The House approved it by voice vote on Tuesday afternoon.

The larger “omnibus” spending bill is expected to pass through both chambers by the end of the week.
