Former first lady Barbara Bush is dialing for dollars for her son's 2016 efforts, reassuring supporters that she's reversed her onetime sentiment that the country should look outside the Bush family for new leadership.

In a fundraising email sent to supporters -- featuring the subject line "I changed my mind!" -- Mrs. Bush announces that she's starting a 'Run Jeb Run Fund' to support his likely presidential bid.

"When the idea of Jeb running for President first came up, I was hesitant," she wrote in the message. "You may have heard about that. When you see the pounding candidates, their spouses, and even their children take, what mother wouldn't be?"

But, she added, "Jeb is our best chance of taking back the White House in 2016, and I hope that you will join me in pushing him to run."
