He probably has some thoughts on the matter, but President Barack Obama elected not to comment Friday when asked for his reaction to the news that former adversary Mitt Romney is considering a third run for president.

After ABC's Jonathan Karl asked Obama a question about U.S. policy towards Iran during a joint press conference with British Prime Minister David Cameron, the reporter tacked on one last query:

"If I may, Mr. President, I'd really like to hear your reaction to the news that Mitt Romney is thinking about running for president," he said.

After a pause, a smiling Obama responded: "On your last question, I have no comment."

Romney lost the general election to Obama in 2012, receiving 206 electoral votes compared to Obama's 332.
