After lunching with President Barack Obama Monday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to sit down for breakfast Tuesday morning with Vice President Joe Biden, widely thought to be her chief potential rival for the Democratic nomination in 2016.
Biden has just returned from a week-long trip to Asia.
While at the White House Monday, Clinton also popped in to say hello to Secretary of State John Kerry and National Security Adviser Susan Rice.
As for the genesis of the lunch today with the president, aides to both Democrats say the Obamas hosted the Clintons for dinner at the White House in May - and then saw each other at the opening of the new Bush Library.
Obama and Clinton agreed at the time that they wanted to get together, aides added, but because Obama was traveling for much of the month of June, Monday's lunch was the first opportunity.
