Speaking at a convention of auto dealers, Hillary Clinton said Monday that she hasn't been behind the wheel of a car since 1996.
"I remember it very well," she said. "Unfortunately, so does Secret Service, which is why I haven't driven since then."
Clinton called not driving "one of the regrets I have of my public life."
Republican groups were quick to seize on the admission, saying it shows that Clinton is "out of touch."
"Maybe she put in a tape of The Macarena (which was on top of the charts) during her last time behind the wheel?" suggested GOP group America Rising.
