Gunman Opens Fire at Republican Baseball Practice

A gunman opened fire during an early morning congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia, injuring at least four.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise was among at least four people wounded Wednesday morning when a gunman opened fire during a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia. Scalise was wounded in the hip.

Alexandria Police Chief Michael Brown said officers at the scene returned gunfire with the suspect, who was eventually taken into custody.
