Mourners Mark First Anniversary of Pulse Nightclub Mass Shooting
Mourners in New York and Orlando remember those killed and wounded on the first anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub shooting.
Keion Carter, survivor of the 2016 Pulse Nightclub shooting, breaks down while speaking to the audience during a memorial service and rally marking the one year anniversary for the Orlando shooting victims, down the street from the historic Stonewall Inn on June 12, 2017 in New York City. The nightclub shooting killed 49 people and wounded 58.
Artist Yuriy Karabash hugs a family member of a victim of the shooting in front of his mural that commemorates the one-year anniversary at the memorial service for victims of the mass shooting at Pulse.
The mural features the 49 victims placed in individual rainbow colored hearts. Hand prints of first responders, along with the victims' closest friends and relatives, are placed around the paintings of the victims to give remembrance and pay respects.
