There's no business like show business in these families, where daughters have followed mom into entertainment careers.

Kate Hudson followed mom Goldie Hawn into acting. She has said Hawn is "the woman that I've learned the most from, and who I look up to."

Blythe Danner and daughter Gwyneth Paltrow have acted together in the 1992 TV movie "Cruel Doubt" and also in the 2003 movie "Sylvia," in which Paltrow played Sylvia Plath and Danner portrayed Plath's mother.

Younger generations may think Carrie Fisher, right, is the most famous woman in her family -- she was Princess Leia, after all. But Fisher's mom, Debbie Reynolds, was acclaimed for her work in movies and musicals. She also made the news in the 1950s when husband Eddie Fisher, Carrie's dad, left Reynolds to wed Elizabeth Taylor.

Melanie Griffith and daughter Dakota Johnson are actually just two of three Hollywood generations. Griffith's mother, Tippi Hedren, was a favorite star of director Alfred Hitchcock.
