Lawmakers barricaded the door of their caucus room as shots were fired on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Canada, on Wednesday. Conservative Party MP Nina Grewal captured this image of the protective measures.

The shots in the halls of Parliament followed the shooting of a soldier guarding the National War Memorial who was reportedly killed.
