An inauguration party for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has been canceled due to weather.
Aides tell NBC News that the party scheduled for Tuesday night on Ellis Island has been called off as a major snowstorm bears down on the East Coast.
It may be postponed or canceled entirely, the aides said.
Christie will be sworn in for his second term as New Jersey’s governor on Tuesday.
NBC's Carrie Dann contributed.
