Comanche Indians Honor D-Day Code-Talkers

Descendants of Comanche Indian soldiers gathered to pray on Utah Beach on Monday in Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, France. Fourteen Comanche code talkers landed on Utah Beach on June 6, 1944 with the 4th US infantry division. They used the Comanche language to transmit messages that could not be understood by the German occupiers.
