Death Toll Rises as Storm Romps Across Country

<p>Two killed in a North Carolina car crash brings the number of fatalities to 15 from storm.</p>

As a winter storm romps up the eastern seaboard, the number of fatalities in weather-related incidents has risen to 15.

North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory announced two more people were killed in a car accident in his state, after one person died from a falling tree limb.

On Monday, five were killed in three separate accidents in Texas, including three people who died in an ambulance rollover near San Angelo.

Two died in Mississippi in traffic-related fatalities and another two traffic-related fatalities occurred in South Carolina. Hypothermia was the cause of death for two in Georgia.

Local officials are urging residents to stay in if they can.
