The NBC News freelance cameraman who came down with Ebola while working in Liberia said he feels like he's "on the road" to recovery. Ashoka Mukpo, 33, took to Twitter to express his gratitude for "good vibes" sent his way.
The photojournalist last week received a blood transfusion from another Ebola survivor, Dr. Kent Brantly, as part of his treatment at the Nebraska Medical Center. Mukpo contracted the disease while covering the outbreak in Liberia, which has been the country hardest-hit by the virus that has killed more than 4,000 people.
