Mekie Nagbe, 28, died trying to walk to a Monrovia treatment center. A team took the body away for cremation, leaving behind 9-year-old Arthuneh and 9-month-old Beauty with their grandmother. Nagbe’s sister crawled toward the gurney.

Ebola has infected at least 13,000 people in West Africa, and killed at least 5,000. If the deadly virus isn't stopped, the CDC estimates that up to 1.4 million people could be infected by the end of January 2015.
