Ray Rice Video Likely Leaked by Casino Employee: Sources

Sources: Ray Rice Told Roger Goodell He Hit Then-Fiancee 1:50

A casino employee was likely responsible for leaking the first video of Ray Rice punching his now-wife to gossip website TMZ, multiple senior casino employees with knowledge of security practices at Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, told NBC News.

The casino security staff "absolutely" believes the first video was leaked by an employee, and that the casino came close to identifying who did it, one source said. The sources said whoever leaked the video recorded it on a phone or tablet, making it virtually impossible to know with certainty who was behind the leak. The sources added both videos, including the elevator footage published by TMZ on Sept. 8, were never turned over to the NFL by the casino itself.
