O.J. Simpson Trial Key Players: Where Are They Now?

1) O.J. Simpson

13 years to the day that he was acquitted of the murders in Brentwood, Simpson was convicted of robbery and kidnapping and was later sentenced up to 33 years.

Simpson is in a Nevada prison, serving up to 33 years after being convicted of robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas. The jury found him guilty thirteen years to the day after he was acquitted of the murders in Brentwood. Simpson is appealing his conviction.

2) Johnnie Cochran

Johnnie Cochran, who led Simpson’s defense, passed away in 2005 from a brain tumor. Before his death, he penned a memoir called "A Lawyer's Life.”

5) Tom Lange

LAPD detective Tom Lange, a lead investigator in the Simpson case, is retired and living outside Los Angeles.

6) Denise Brown

Denise Brown is a public speaker, educating others about domestic violence.

7) Kim Goldman

Ronald Goldman’s sister, Kim, has recently written a book about her experiences and has a young son. His middle name is Ronald. She also runs the SCV Youth Project, a non-profit youth outreach organization for troubled teens.

8) Kato Kaelin

Kato Kaelin is still in Los Angeles and among his many projects, has a clothing line.

9) Marcia Clark

Marcia Clark never tried another case for the DA's office. She wrote a book about the trial, ‘Without a Doubt,’ and is a frequent media commentator and columnist on legal issues. She also wrote two novels, ‘Guilty By Association’ and ‘Guilt By Degrees.’ She lives in Los Angeles.

10) Chris Darden

In 1995, after the Simpson trial, Christopher Darden left the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and joined the faculty of UCLA. He taught undergraduate courses there until 1999, when he opened his own law firm, Darden & Associates, Inc., specializing in criminal defense and civil litigation. He has also written several books.

11) Judge Lance Ito

Lance Ito is still a judge in Los Angeles, but his term ends in January of 2015. He did not run for re-election.

12) Dan Petrocelli

Dan Petrocelli is practicing law in Los Angeles. He now lives in Brentwood, not far from where OJ Simpson once did.

13) Gil Garcetti

Gil Garcetti changed careers and became a photographer. He takes photos all over the world to raise awareness of social issues. His work has been published in six books. He has also been a consultant for the TV crime dramas, “The Closer” and “Major Crimes.” His son, Eric, is the mayor of Los Angeles.

13) Kris Jenner

Kris Jenner is a television personality, business woman and author.

14) The Ford Bronco

The Bronco’s current owner rents it out for parties.
