At least three people were killed outside Stade de France in Paris during a soccer match between the men's national teams of France and Germany.

Two explosions were audible inside the stadium around 15 minutes into the match, and French President Francois Hollande was evacuated from the stadium.

The match was allowed to continue despite the chaos developing outside after authorities determined it was the best course of action to keep the crowd — numbering in the tens of thousands — safe.

The crowd spilled onto the field after France's victory and was allowed to leave after the scene was secured.
