Gold Falls Short in Semifinals

<p>One U.S. hopeful's dream of Olympic gold is no more after placing eighth in the Men's Halfpipe Semifinal</p>

Taylor Gold of the United States reacts after his run during the Snowboard Men's Halfpipe Semifinal on day four of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. Gold placed eighth, two spots behind the top six athletes headed to the finals. Another member from Team USA, Gregory Bertz, placed second in the semifinal. He will be headed to the finals to compete with teammates Shaun White and Danny Davis.
